An Anti-Narcotics Cell (Nerkkoottam) is a specialized committee in colleges aimed at combating drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free campus environment. The cell plays a pivotal role in raising awareness about the harmful effects of narcotics through campaigns, seminars, and interactive activities. 

It collaborates with law enforcement agencies, health professionals, and community organizations to curb the menace of drug use among students. The cell also provides support and counseling to those at risk or struggling with substance abuse, ensuring early intervention and rehabilitation. By fostering a vigilant and responsible campus culture, the Anti-Narcotics Cell works to empower students to resist peer pressure and make informed life choices

1.Prevention: Create awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage students to adopt a drug-free lifestyle.

2.Vigilance: Monitor the campus to prevent the use, possession, or distribution of narcotics.

3.Support: Offer counseling and rehabilitation assistance to students affected by drug abuse.

4.Collaboration: Partner with law enforcement, NGOs, and health professionals to strengthen anti-drug initiatives.

5.Community Building: Foster peer support and student leadership in advocating for a drug-free societyNerkoottam – A dedicated initiative aimed at eradicating drug trafficking and the usage of illegal substances within the campus premises, has now been established. To ensure the effective execution of its functions, a vigilant committee has been meticulously constituted. This committee comprises individuals who are committed to safeguarding the well-being and safety of the college community.
