The Department of Computer Science at A.C. Kunhimon Haji Memorial ICA College, Thozhiyur, organized a seminar titled “Project Insights and Inspirations” on 18th July 2024. The aim of the seminar was to inspire and guide students in their academic and real-world project work by providing them with valuable insights from industry experts.

Resource Person

The seminar featured Ms. Aparna P K, Director & Senior IoT Developer at Grapesgenix Technical Solutions Pvt Ltd, Thrissur. With her extensive experience in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) and technology solutions, she was the ideal choice to address the students and share professional perspectives.

The Departments of Computer Science and Electronics collaboratively organized a seminar titled “AI Job Opportunities & Trends” on 26th September 2024. The session aimed to explore the emerging roles and evolving landscape of careers in Artificial Intelligence.

Anti Fraud play game

The Computer Science Department organized an engaging and informative session titled “Anti-Fraud Play Game” on 15th November 2024. This session aimed to raise awareness among students about digital fraud and cyber security practices through an interactive, game-based approach. The event was led by Mr. Abdul Ali, the CTO and Co-founder of Ehackify Cyber security Research & Training, who shared insights from his extensive experience in cyber security.

Objectives of the Session

The main objectives of this session were:

  1. To educate students on different types of online fraud and how to identify them.
  2. To provide hands-on exposure to practical cyber security tactics through a game-based learning experience.
  3. To enhance students’ understanding of the importance of cyber security in daily digital interactions.
  4. To encourage students to adopt safe and secure practices when using online platforms.

  • Interactive Anti-Fraud Game: Mr. Abdul Ali introduced the students to an anti-fraud game designed to simulate real-world fraud scenarios. Students participated actively, attempting to identify fraudulent activities, phishing attempts, and other common cyber threats.
