PRISHYA SHAJU

An Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell in a college is a dedicated committee aimed at creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment by addressing issues of sexual harassment. The cell works in compliance with laws like the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, ensuring the protection and dignity of all individuals.

It organizes awareness programs to educate students and staff about the importance of consent and the consequences of harassment, provides a confidential platform for reporting grievances, and ensures prompt investigation and resolution of complaints. The cell is committed to promoting gender equality and fostering a culture of respect and accountability within the institution.

Objectives:

  1. Prevention: Raise awareness about sexual harassment and promote a culture of zero tolerance.
  2. Support: Offer a confidential and approachable mechanism for victims to report grievances.
  3. Redressal: Conduct fair and impartial inquiries into complaints and ensure appropriate action against offenders.
  4. Awareness: Organize workshops, seminars, and campaigns on gender sensitivity and workplace ethics.
  5. Empowerment: Encourage students and staff to actively stand against harassment and foster mutual respect
